Young Democrats and Republicans raise money for local non-profit through bipartisan volleyball tournament

On Sunday, September 14th, 2014 the Franklin County Young Democrats and Cap City Young Republicans held their second annual “Bump, Set, Vote” Volleyball Tournament. The organizations had a goal of showing that young people in the Greater Columbus community can come together and work in a bipartisan fashion for a good cause.

The event raised $1118.00 for a local non-profit, Operation Buckeye, that works to provide care packages to our troops. Between the two organizations there were 8 teams, including one non-partisan team, along with 8 court sponsors.

A very special thank you to all of the candidates and electeds who sponsored our Democratic teams and courts: Mike Schadek for County Auditor, Michael Stinziano for State Representative, Zach Klein for City Council, and Mayor Michael B. Coleman for Columbus.
